Jasmine Lehman

the anti-anxiety therapist.

About me

I know what it is like to need to change, but have no ability to do it. That is why I became a mental health counselor.

Hi, my name is Jasmine Anna-Hope Lehman. I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor based out of Baltimore, Maryland.

I help people who suffer from worry, OCD compulsions, social anxiety, mutism, intrusive thoughts, phobias and panic disorder. I do this by guiding client’s through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Exposure Response Prevention (CBT with ERP). You could say I help client’s take back control by doing exposure therapy. CBT with ERP is an evidence-based treatment that is 60-80% effective for anxiety sufferers. That’s a pretty good score for a treatment.

Another important note about me is that I am a faithful follower of Jesus. 12-years ago I was considered a “prodigal daughter”. I became born again in the last two years. I never want to live another day without Jesus. Professionally, I use the Bible and all of its truth to help Jesus-followers strengthen their faith, apply the truth of the bible and claim victory over symptoms of anxiety.

If you don’t follow Jesus, I will not incorporate my worldview into the sessions. However, I want you to know that I believe that turning from sin and turning toward Jesus is the absolute most important thing you can do in your entire life. Seriously.

Finally, I am originally from New Haven, CT. I joke that I’m “Black-Italian” because I grew up in an Italian Catholic school and work hard to replicate New Haven’s award winning a-pizza. I look forward to working with you.

Do Not Be Anxious

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?[g] 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
